This hospital will be a charitable hospital. This is set up with a purpose of giving free and good medical help to the poor and the needy people of the backward area. We had almost arranged for the fund which is required for the building of the hospital. Thus we need some contribution from your side.

The Problem

Everyone thinks. It is our nature to do so. But much of our thinking, left to itself, is biased, distorted, partial, uninformed, or downright prejudiced. Yet, the quality of our life and that of what we produce, make, or build depends precisely on the quality of our thought. Shoddy thinking is costly, both in money and in quality of life. Excellence in thought, however, must be systematically cultivated.

A Definition 

Critical thinking is that mode of thinking — about any subject, content, or problem — in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing, assessing, and reconstructing it. Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking. It presupposes assent to rigorous standards of excellence and mindful command of their use. It entails effective communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as a commitment to overcome our native egocentrism and sociocentrism.

To Analyze Thinking 

Identify its purpose, and question at issue, as well as its information, inferences(s), assumptions, implications, main concept(s), and point of view.

To Assess Thinking

Check it for clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, significance, logic, and fairness.

The Result 

A well-cultivated critical thinker:

·         Raises vital questions and problems, formulating them clearly and precisely

·         Gathers and assesses relevant information, using abstract ideas to interpret it effectively

·         Comes to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, testing them against relevant criteria and standards

·         Thinks openmindedly within alternative systems of thought, recognizing and assessing, as needs be, their assumptions, implications, and practical consequences

·         Communicates effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems

ABOUT WRITING ARTICLES

In Cambridge First or Cambridge Advanced, you might be asked to write an article. But do you know what makes an article different from other types of writing?

1 The reader is identified
An article is like a direct conversation with the reader. The exam question might tell you who your readers are. For example, the students at a school, or the people living in a town or people who are interested in sports. Everything you write must speak to that reader and engage their interest right from the first sentence.

2 It has to get attention
If you're anywhere on the internet these days, you'll be bombarded with articles with headlines that pull the reader in. It's called "click baiting" and all the writer is trying to do is make you open the page to read their article.  You need to think like a journalist when you're writing your article.
Look at the heading and the first line of this article. How did I get your attention?*

3 It has to be interesting
For an article to work, it has to be engaging enough to read all the way through. Remember how bored the examiner must be after reading fifty exam papers. Make it easier for them to get a good impression about your writing by entertaining them. Add humour, real life or made up examples, or make up quotes.

4 It has to be easy to read
Use subheadings to break up the text and make clear paragraphs. Write in a semi-informal, conversational style.  And make sure there is organisation to your ideas. The planning stage is vital for this.  Spend 5-10 minutes brainstorming ideas and choose the best three or four. Think what your subheadings might be and then write a short introduction that lets the reader know what to expect.
Keep in mind that you want the reader to keep reading, so don't tell them exactly what they will read. This is not an essay! In an essay you usually restate the question, explain how you will answer it and maybe say why it's important. In an article, that will kill the reader's interest.
Look back at this paragraph. What sentence style have I used that makes it semi-informal and speak directly to the reader?**

5 Write a good ending
In an essay you sum up the points that have gone before and draw a conclusion from that. But in an article, it's better to give the reader something to think about, perhaps by asking them another question or giving them a call to action. Often, the best endings link back to the starting point in some way.
Here are two endings I could use for this article:

• Look at your internet browsing history from the last day. Which articles got your attention? Can you see how they did it?
• So, now you know how to write an article, why don't you write one giving advice on something you know about?

Common mistakes students make in articles

• The language is too formal and more suited to essays. Avoid words like: to sum up, some people say, nevertheless, on one hand etc.
• They don't use quotes or examples
• They either use not enough, or too many, questions. The questions, called rhetorical questions because they don't require an answer, shouldn't be more than one per paragraph. Good examples are:
• Have you ever ……..?
• What do you think about ……..?
• Are you one of those people who thinks that ……?
• What would life be like if ……?
• Will the future bring us ….. ?

ARE LIONS ENEMIES OF THE HUMANITY?

People around the world have believed something in it minds about this kind of species, lions. The nature has showed their strength and capacity to survive in the middle of a desert, the ability to catch their prey and how protect every member of the family of the pack. It is for that it is called “the king of the jungle”. Lions are the second largest living feline species, second only to the tiger. Both male and female lions roar, and that roar can be heard over five miles away!. Lions consume a wide variety of prey, from wildebeest, impala, zebra, giraffe, buffalo and wild hogs to sometimes rhinos and hippos. They will also feed on smaller animals such as hares, birds and reptiles.  Lions are also known to attack elephants when food is scarce.

Keeping this information in mind it is difficult to do not think about the dangerous lions could be with people, they are not small cats, lions are enormous cats with a different diet, with a different habitat , but the most important is that they are animals, they are not monsters. Is true that people have to be careful when want to be close of them, but never treat them as objects, as they be our enemies.

The advertising, the films, and some stories of the real life make us to believe that we cannot live with this kind of species; in addition we have considered necessary to keep these animals locked up in a jail as prisoners, and some have declared their dead. And why we have to arrive to this thoughts acting as killers without mercy and love even when we know they are beings with feelings and that is the nature that God gave them?

Sometimes the species of humans are more dangerous than lions. Our conscience is not coherent and our critical thinking is not according to our actions. We pretend to defend and protect our life and our relative’s life but we want to the life of others disappear. As we, lions want to live, and they want to have a good life, it is not their fault to show themselves with that nature because it is their essence. We need to be in peace with nature and all it species because we be part of those species too.

I read your announcement and first of all I have to say that I love children and I would like very proud to do something throughout my written to them. I sincerely hope this can help in a way those children. With regards to the statement, if I would like the opportunity to ask for something special to God, I think the unique thing I would ask for would be for wisdom. Maybe many people around the world always have waiting for someone that ask them this, in order to their desire take pleasure, in order to solve their problems, or simply their dreams come true with a powerful force. But in my case is just that, wisdom.

In my reckoning wisdom is the most important thing in my life, with that you can take the control of your feelings and the control of your mouth; with wisdom the decisions are not equal. People may desire all the gold of the world together but without wisdom is similar to have a luxurious house where only porks live, it is nothing is to live without happiness which I consider is the second thing most important, but if I have to live happy I need to choose a life in wisdom. A wise person knows that behind wisdom are the wealth and the golden opportunities. Also is a humble person, is a person that does not humiliate to others but on the contrary humiliate itself in order to receive respect, honor and life. That is a wisdom person, who decides to live in a correct way.

When people know the power of wisdom they will stop lying and to be injustice people, they could forgive others, and to help without any interest. Our countries will be govern in peace, without corruption, with families completes, without hate, pain and revenge, without poverty and misery. That what I would ask God for me, wisdom to know make decisions, wisdom to govern my own family, wisdom to love whose that do not love me wisdom to guide my life, and wisdom to be the person this world need and He wants that I be. And that wisdom finally is just given by him.

Greatest sportsperson competition

Zinedine Zidane is a former French footballer who is considered one of the greatest players of all times. He made a name for himself at national and international level for his outstanding performance in the game and also for the several championships he won throughout his career.  He also helped France classify to the World Cup finale in 2006, in which they were the winners. It goes without saying that this icononic player really deserves to be the candidate for a nomination in your television series.

But how did Zinedine Zidane become such an amazing player? To answer this we need to go back to his early age. He discovered football in his home town. He used to play football with his friends in the streets, where he developed some unrivalled techniques and a perfect control of the ball. Endowed with an unique ability, he evolved as a professional player and won several titles such as the Juventus of Turin and the Real Madrid ones, which led him to be voted several times as the best international football player in 1998, 2000 and 2003, as well as to win a golden ball in 2006.

I believe that what sets Zinedine apart from any the other player is his perseverance and charming personality, but above all his strength to face adversity with composure. So friendly and sociable is he that he became the favorite player of the French in 2006 who nicknamed him «  Zizou ».

At the age of 35 he was at the height of his career and, came the time for him to leave the football pitch. Since 2013 he has held the position of an assistant coach for the Real Madrid team club. If there is one thing for sure is that Zizou is now a legend and he undoubtedly deserves a place among your top ten greatest sportspeople.

In the municipality of Cimitarra  Santader,  live around 35.000 inhabitants  which the majority of them are young, 43 % of the population are boys between 11 and 17 years, with different economic status and social positions. In the last 5 years the lack of attention by parents and municipal authorities, the leisure, the poverty among other things are some of the reasons that have provoked that in these young people interfere today in illicit matters as the delinquency and drug addiction. This not only has degraded the reputation and the good image of the municipality but now it increases the number of young and teen addicts to the narcotics and to the street life. Unfortunately there have been small the elegant ones and solutions started to this phenomenon.

It is for  that in the following text there is exposed one of the positive aspects that they would favor to the community of Cimitarra  and to these teenagers in way to a better future for them and for their environment. The aerobic will be one the activities that would allow them integrate themselves and with the community but also it would allow them to forget or to move away from that kind of life, from the leisure in order to look after them in health and to remove those things that today governs them.

These activities will be developed not only for that kind of population but also for every inhabitant in the town. The idea is that the aerobics will be carried out all the weekends. In other words if it is possible, on Fridays and on Saturdays at the park. With this in mind this also will be open doors for   employers, for instance the opportunities to work will be open to some professionals, like psychologist, Physical professional educators, people charged of the sound, because it is necessary to play music to develop the activities with the aerobics. They will be contracted to trained in sports. What is claimed is that at the end of the activity it is pretended to give a chart or conference and workshops to those who were part in the activities.  It is important to develop these activities in order to change some aspects that are affected the population, and also to improve their life style.
